Wander the gorgeous rows of flowers planted by Mandy at White Cottage Flower Farm and gather garden roses and dahlias in vintage baskets as the birds sing and friends chatter. Learn with Lisel from Belle Bouquets how to create a bouquet and centerpiece that are both beautiful in the home as well as for someones special day. This workshop teaches you the skills of creating a hand tied, garden style bouquet, finished with beautiful ribbon, and a how to create a beautiful centerpiece for your table or event. This is perfect for anyone interested in floral arranging, for both home styling or DIY wedding design. You will learn techniques on how to choose, condition, and arrange flowers. Basic design and colour theory will also be covered.
Workshop will cover bouquet making in the morning and centerpiece arranging in the afternoon. All materials are provided including a beautiful ceramic compote vase designed by Australian Florist Tanya Shaw from Oh Flora and hand crafted in Sri Lanka following ethical and sustainable practices. These beautiful vases are crafted with a long standing, family founded, owned and operated ceramics company whose workforce is made up of approximately 70% females, which keeps them safe from human trafficking and in addition to purchasing these vases, a percentage of our purchase is directly donated to the Kind Hearted Lankans charity – an organisation dedicated to providing food, shelter, love and affection to both the young and old in Sri Lanka. As a workshop attendee you are helping to give back to this community as well and hopefully every time you use this compote vase you are reminded of that.
